Excel triggers

I am looking to automate a small number of pre-qualified horse-racing trades through the standard Gruss Excel interface.

Is there a comprehensive, current list of all supported Excel trigger commands and the fields they can reference?

In particular, I need to confirm whether the standard Excel triggers can:

place a BACK at Betfair SP before the market turns in-play;
read projected SP before the off and actual BSP after reconciliation;
detect the market’s in-play status;
reference Gruss’s elapsed in-play clock;
place a LAY at a calculated price;
cancel an unmatched lay when a specified elapsed in-play time is reached;
cancel only the relevant selection’s unmatched lay;
detect matched, partially matched and unmatched bet status;
prevent duplicate submissions.

If elapsed in-play time cannot be used directly by a native trigger, is that value exposed to Excel so it can be monitored with VBA?

I am trying to establish what can be done entirely with standard Gruss functionality before adding any custom scripting.

I've managed to figure out most of what I want to do, but I have a VBA question.

If I have more than one page open in Betting Assistant, linked to different sheets within the same Excel workbook can I send an instruction through VBA to only open a market when specifically instructed, and at a set time before the due race time?

To explain a little more, I run several methods/systems and frequently encounter overlaps, either because it's a very busy day or one or more meetings run late. This causes a problem because a lot of my selections have a trade-out either by time or by ticks. If I have a back bet placed in a race, I need to keep that race "live" until it has closed, but may need to trigger another bet in a different race before that happens. I can figure out the VBA bet management side, but don't really want to have 2 or 3 pages active all of the time ....on quieter days it could be that a second sheet isn't even needed, so having it set to auto select through every race is using calls and load that isn't needed, whilst on a busy day I could need a third page set up as well; again that would be unlikely to see much use (if any), and would be a "just in case" provision.

Hi,
Although I don't fully understand what you really want to do it maybe useful to:
All races opened in BA in diff tabs linked to diff sheets in excel each and modify their update rate through Q2, eg Q2:10 for ten secs update for the races you don't want to bet on (or you placed your bet) instead of eg Q2:0.5 , 0.5 secs update rate for the others
If you want to open a specific race (at a time of your choice) you can use in Q2: GOTO:raceId but you need to know race's Id number in advance

opening races in BA can be done either from BA settings (excel/log multiple sheets quick link)
or from excel using the GOTO:raceid in Q@

Thanks for your time and help alrodopial, it is much appreciated. I think I am making some headway now by partially using the COM connection.

I have a tendency to over-complicate things, so I've gone back to basics and am making good progress building from there - rather than trying to wade straight in at the deep end!
