It will only work with excel

In Open Office, you can write sub programs (macros) to automate tasks. This is what a1ehouse has done with BLadder.
Excel uses VBA programming language
Open Office uses Basic

You can't run a VBA macro in oOo

Not sure if there is a free viewer that allows macros to run for excel. At work right now so can't really search for anything.

Never used XLViewer so not sure what you should or shouldn't be able to do with it.

Check that the workbook is not set to readonly.
rightclick the workbook (in the folder) and uncheck read only.

Is it not letting you open the workbook at all?

If the workbook is read only - does that not just mean you can't save any changes to it?

You may want to check to see if the viewer can run macros or not.
As i said, at work right now so can't really assist. Will try later tonight if no-one else pitches in.

EDIT: You may want to check the security levels to see if macros are enabled or not.
In excel this is under tools - options - security tab

Done a bit of digging

Sorry to say that XLViewer will only view an existing workbook - you can't do anything at all with it except look at what is already there. It really is read only. You can't alter any of the cells at all. It will also not run macros, so i'm afraid your stumped.

Hi it has been mentioned here before, but not really answered, but every time I double click on the Open Bladder option on the Excel sheet - small grey box - i get asked for a VB Project password.

Obviously this is wrong but I have no idea if

a) this means I do not have the right compatability for the software?

b) is I need to install something to help?

I know 99% of people probably are laughing at me, but I do handle some software myself - don't develop it, just do customer care on it - and I know there is nothing worse than having irritating little problems stall your progress. I have attached some screen shots to explain the problem.

Help would be greatly appreciated as it looks really good.

looks like you are in edit mode - do you have macros enabled in your security settings?

GeorgeUK is right, you are opening in design mode. Click the Protractor Icon which is above the words cmdOpenBLa... in your screenshot to turn off VBA Design Mode.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
