Run-time error '429'

Postby pashulik » Sat Oct 29, 2011 12:17 pm

Hi, Gary. I've just registered here because of appearing this error at every attempting to load odds with spreadsheet. I am subscriber of Formbet project for a few months and I used another pc before. There was everything OK there. I've bought new pc especially for using such projects now and I can not fix this error 429 at all.
My system is Windows 7 Home premium (64 bit), my office 2010 for students (32 bit), my Gruss is last version (I hope) 1.1.0.66x80.
I've done that http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewt ... m+codebase yet. And I've done to uninstall, clean the Registry and install again. There is the same result.
Here is screenshot made after I pushed Debug:

I'm afraid I don't have a solution. I might be able to help if you let me have a look myself using remote assistance. If you are interested then send me a PM and we will schedule a time.

Sorry but I have a very similar problem  Trying to use this sheet:
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Excel/GreenUp_Auto.xls

Run-time error '429'

ActiveX component can't create object

When I click Debug the following line (bold part) is highlighted yellow:
If ba Is Nothing Then Set ba = New BettingAssistantCom.ComClass

This is happening with Windows 7 and XP Pro? BA 66x80. Excel 2007.

Any ideas please? - Michael

Everything is fixed! Thank you, Gary. There was pre-lunched Office version on my new pc. Actually I've bought fresh Office via Microsoft site and installed it with no uninstalling pre-lunch one. There was a conflict of two version on my pc I guess. Gary, thanks again, fantastic support! :D

In case anyone would like to know...

We got rid of my "Run-time 429" error by re-installing Excel from the ground up.

Ttfn - Michael

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
