Projected SP

Postby thewald » Wed Dec 22, 2010 3:00 pm

Is it possible to get the projected SP figure into excel? When I select SP or Forecast price from the additional columns neither appear in my spreadsheet.

Also, is it possible for a bet trigger to clear itself once matched, so that it can be triggered again?

If anybody can help I would be very greatful.

Merry Christmas to all

Are you selecting the SP columns correctly? Is the column hidden , usually appears in the next available column so if only SP selected would be in column Y

You can amend your code so a CLEAR statement is entered into the trigger column to clear any bet references so further bets can be placed, plenty of code on the forum either using VBA or just IF and statements. Just have to be careful you don't get into endless loops and empty your bank on one runner

Another possible cause is not ticking "Enable triggered betting" when setting up the Excel link. The additional columns are tagged onto the triggered betting columns so don't appear without this option.

This fooled me for a while as I was just trying to test a spreadsheet so didn't want triggered betting but wanted the Projected SP.

I'm sure that there's a good technical reason why the Projected SP can't be displayed unless Triggered betting is set but it makes things tricky to test if part of the test requires the Projected SP.

Is there any way to show the Projected SP without triggered betting enabled?

If your test requires formulas that will place triggers (BACK,LAY etc) place then in another column, not column Q.
If you leave column Q empty there's no risk.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
