Offsets with Dutching

Postby johnnic » Tue Jun 22, 2010 6:54 am

I note that you cannot set an offset for dutch bets. Is that intended or have I simply made a mistake?

I would like to be able to dutch a number of bets, set an offset for each and green up at the time of the first and subsequent successful offsets. I understand that the first offset would destroy the dutch but I wouldn't see that as a problem.

It's possible in the Beta version, but not the version you are using.
See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3922

Here is a video showing how to place the bets using "My Bets". I set a target profit of £2 and a tick offset of 1 with level profit. If you want to set a total liability instead of target profit then click the stake option instead of target.

Note: Each bet is treated as an individual bet with tick offset and level profit. The level profit calculation is not based on the P&L as a whole.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
