It will hang for a few minutes until it has loaded them. How long did you wait before giving up? If it was more than 5 minutes then there probably is another problem that I need to fix.

Hi Gary

Had a problem today with some of the meetings not loading RP Tissue price. If I understand the code properly it is caused by the Cookies in some way. I stopped the code cleared the cookies and restarted which appears to have fixed it (at least for now). Could it be if a cookie already exists for the track ??

The cookies are just to establish you are logged in. When you log in you receive a cookie that you must pass in each subsequent call, it's not on a track by track basis. It's possible some of responses timed out. The RP site can be slow at times.

The RP site was doing strange things yesterday.

Some of my info is grabbed using web automation and the Document Object Model with a not visible instance of IE and the site was logging me out when excel was navigating from one page to a different page.

I'm having problems with this code today - anyone else?

It's staying at the frozen calculating stage much longer than usual and doesn't look like it's going to resolve.

I've been using it successfully for a few weeks now and it was OK yesterday.

It's stuck here too. Something must have changed on the RP site. I am looking into it.

There is a horse named ZIMBABWE in the 1.25 Fontwell and 3.20 Market Rasen. I assumed this could never happen, the code relies on the horse name being unique. I shall have to redesign it.

It's ok here. Could it be your spreadsheet? If you download the example again and use it without altering it does it work?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
