dutch bug in replacement version 1.1.65z9c

Postby Fawltyrat » Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:01 am

If I reverse bets and dutch lay the field, the program is laying everything
at back odds rather than lay odds putting me in the red on everything.

I did not have this problem in the beta version that doesent work thanks
to betfair

It sounds like you were not previously using the Beta version and now are. It is actually an improvement in the Beta version that when you reverse odds that it uses the reversed odds. If you want it to use the lay odds then don't reverse those odds.

Gary,
I was using the beta version 1.1.0.66.84. It was working fine.
Then we had the get markets error I reverted to 65z9c.

If I dutch lay the field in 65z9c it doesent matter if i reverse bets or not,
it lays at back odds at a loss on everything instead of lay odds as in 66.44.

I have 2 internet connections and 2 computers.Since the other day I found
that 66.84 would get the markets on one internet connection but not the other,so I went back to 66.84.All was fine.Today Im finding that 66.84
wont load on machine A on either connection but machine B loads!

So I am stuck back on 65z9c on machine A which is the main machine.

Would it be possible to either fix 65z9c to dutch lay correctly or get 66.24
not to "get all".

PS could you please look at adding NEW ZEALAND GREYHOUNDS to
quick pick list. They exist and have for years now. Also Singapore races.

Thank You

It would be better to find out why you cannot install version .84. What happens when you try and install it? Do you get an error message?

Gary,
I can install version.84 and was happily running it,until it refused
to load markets on startup.Everything Ive said above applies to either it
or the 65z9c we were told to use instead.

Is there any other Beta version that will dutch lay properly and hasnt got
the "get all" markets at the start in it? Maybe an inbetweener?

Gary,

I appear to have .84 working again.

I deleted everything, all other versions, directories profiles etc and
cleaned registry,then reinstalled .84...working fine.

I think the day Betfair screwed up with the bad data and I uninstalled and reinstalled etc a bad config file or something must have been hanging around.

I think I had this issue once. The app left some entries at the system registry. I reloaded my OS and it fixed everything. I guess we just need to make sure to do an update instead of a fresh install of a new version.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
