Rogue Mouse Clicks

Postby wesdag » Sun Mar 16, 2014 6:52 pm

Hi,

I've been using Gruss for some time. The first mouse I used was wireless, I'm now using a mouse which is wired to a usb port.

However, what I have experienced with both is involuntary mouse clicks. Sometimes, without warning if the cursor is hovering over a box etc, it will click.

Is there any reason for this or it just a windows or hardware problem?

Short of doing a re-boot, is there anything I could do to prevent it happening in the first place? I use custom columns which often carry big liabilities so I'd really like to know how to stop rogue clicks occuring at all.

Thanks.

This sounds worrying. Has any one else had this problem?

Is it only with BA that this occurs?

I'd suggest trying a different USB port first (cheapest fix if that's the problem) and then trying a different mouse. I've never experienced rogue clicks personally.

I've used 2 different mice now so I'm not sure whether that would be the problem.

Also the rogue or involuntary clicks may happen with other programs but obviously its more noticeable with Gruss - especially if you have custom columns with big liabilities!

Hi,

Sounds like a Windows hardware/software issue to me.

Have you checked the mouse settings in Windows Control Panel?

Do you have access to another PC where you can try the same mouse?

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
