BA VERSION

Postby BERTRAND » Fri Feb 21, 2014 2:17 pm

I have been using version (1.1.0.65z9c) for years. The Beta versions used to update automatically.
Is there a version available that includes the "Xscores" and "Dashboard" features?

I'm actually using the exact same old version as the OP, is the version you recommended the usual "current version" of the software; the beta bit suggests that it's not for general release yet. Basically, should I update to that, or is there a recent non-beta version that I'd be better off with?

Many thanks in advance.

Garry will better answer this but although it's not an "official" version Garry suggested it many times in the past

Cheers, I've downloaded it and it seems to be running smoothly (so far  ).

.
This weekend I replaced my trusty old XP machine with a shiny new Windows 8.1 PC.

I'm ready to download and install Gruss BA, so I used the link on this page to download Betting_Assistant_Beta2.msi. If I recall correctly, this should be the most up-to-date stable beta, but not the very latest Beta3 that was released a few weeks ago.

When I try to run it, a dialogue box advises me that I need .NET Framework version 2, and helpfully provides a link to Microsoft's .NET download site.

This site doesn't have .NET Framework version 2 — it ranges from version 3.5 SP1 to version 4.5.1. My PC already has version 4.5.1 installed, apparently.

Am I downloading the correct version of BA? If so, is .NET 2 still available, or has support for it been dropped by Microsoft?

Unfortunately I'm not the brightest user of Gruss, or of anything else for that matter, and I'm now lost.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
.

Thanks Osknows, that worked just fine. Very helpful, as always.

I've downloaded the new beta version 3 of BA — or at least I think I have — but it still shows as version 66x85n :?:

Is anyone else using the new beta?

I just installed it too, shows 85n.

What does "connect to the web site" at the log in page means?

Can not find the com (66-85n)
It does not remember the user name (same problem with the previous installation)
Did several restarts during the installation with no success
Also deleted the user file before installation.

Installed the 66-85k that finds the com
The problem not remembering the user name continues

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
