Trigger modifier

Postby dixiedean » Sat Sep 26, 2015 12:46 pm

Hi All

Can anyone have a look at my sheet and tell a novice how to modify it? I lay a bet at 30 seconds from the off and what i need is if the bet does not get matched after 10 seconds to automatically cancel it and resend bet at the new odds up till the race is off, obviously if matched do nothing, i am totally stumped with this.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
D

To automatically cancel the bet after x seconds you can just use the fill or kill options with the Fx modifier i.e.

LAY-F10 would cancel a bet after 10 seconds

If the bet is cancelled it enters CANCELLED in the betref column, if youwanted to clear the betref/bet time columns so another bet gets submitted you use the CLEAR trigger.

I don't have time to download and look at your sheet to amend it but basically you'd need to amend your trigger to use LAY-F10 instead of LAY and add the CLEAR trigger so it clears columns to allow further bets

i.e. if your current trigger is

IF($D$2<=TIMEVALUE("00:00:30"),"LAY","")

you'd change it too (in trigger column Q5)

=IF(T5="CANCELLED","CLEAR",IF($D$2<=TIMEVALUE("00:00:30"),"LAY-F10",""))

If your current trigger is working OK all you do is put it inside the formula I put up and change your LAY to LAY-F10

so say your current formula is If(............","",LAY) change that to If(............","",LAY-F10) and stick it inside

=IF(T5="CANCELLED","CLEAR", If(............","",LAY-F10) )

If you still can't figure it out I'll try and look at the sheet after racing

Good to see it's working, as usual just test with small stakes to see everything works as itshould before using full stakes.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
