Account balance refresh (BA & Excel)

I’m forcing Excel to update the account balance with each refresh (U in J2).
Am I correct in saying that in BA the balance is only updated when the market changes or the user clicks account balance to refresh? As I’m finding the balance in Excel is now different than the balance in BA until there is a market change.

If this is the case, would it be possible for the user to select in preferences an option to update the account balance in the BA application every 3 seconds for example, or a number of seconds defined by the user.

At the moment I find myself continually clicking the account balance in BA to enable it to refresh, so I can determine my current exposure etc. If it was updated automatically it would make things a lot easier.
