Minimum bets on Betfair

Postby christine » Mon May 10, 2010 8:02 pm

Hi all, It was always my understanding from several sources that although some bots can place stakes below £2, BF do not approve of this & will take action against those users doing so on a regular basis. There seems to be no mention of this with Betting Assistant & I just wondered whether I'd got it wrong? Does anyone know for sure what BF's policy is regarding this? Thanks!

You'd have to ask Betfair for a definitive answer but it's one of those things they let go by as long as people aren't abusing the ability to place sub £2 bets.

Most of us have placed sub £2' bets when closing trades and never had any problem with Betfair but I'd imagine anyone placing sub £2 bets as their initial bets or part of their strategy are likely to get pulled up at some time or other.

Like most things on Betfair reports will be generated to show how many sub £2 bets a user is placing, if they value your custom because you're paying them enough commission they'll let it pass.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
