Trigger Opinions and strategies

Postby adsy22 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 1:52 am

Hello All,
This is my first post and i have not been trading for too long but have read enough and followed my father for a while to understand the core basics. What we are both looking to do is to take advantage of trigger betting. I was just wondering if there were any suggestions or strategies we should look at before deciding on which method to use.
Cheers,

Always hungry for great information

Hi adsy22 - and welcome :)

maybe this post may give you a little idea?

No point in me repeating things but my advice is:
DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD - by all means study and then find your own way.
Much easier said than done though.

Good Luck - all the best, Michael :)

adsy22,

It's not very clear what you are after in your post. Trigger betting is not a strategy or system. It's is just a way to use to automate your strategies and systems. So, instead of having to be at the PC all the time to manually monitor and place your bets, you can semi-automate or fully automate this using triggers in excel via Betting Assistant.

So establish what systems and strategies work for you first, then you can start looking at automating these using triggers in excel.

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
