selecting new days market

Postby adrianmfoster » Wed Dec 31, 2008 8:45 pm

I currently run through and successfully select each race using '-1' in cell 'Q"' via a visual basic macro in excel. However I have to reload the quick pick list each new day, either by exiting BA and re-starting or clearing and reselecting the quick pick list and then manually selecting the first race.

I have tried '-3' in cell 'Q2' which works in that the quick pick list is correctly repoulated with the new days races, however it doesn't select the first race. I have also tried '-1' after '-3' but to no avail.

Basically I want to set my excel sheet to run continually if I am away from home. Can any one help or am I missing something obvious?

Happy new year everyone. This is my first ever post and probably my last one for 2008!

You need to use the -5 trigger which will be available in the next release. You can get this version before it is officially released, see http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3159

I currently have a few systems running through two tabs both of which are linked to Excel. The markets are UK Horseracing Win markets and Place Markets. Currently there is no way I can get the two picklists to update with the next days racing as the -3 trigger only does the default 'Add to Picklist on Startup' that is set in the options. What I need is to do both picklists...

Gary do you have a solution to this problem? I would really help me out a great deal. Thanks

Cheers,

Al

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
