Excel SP Trigger with In Play Offset

Postby jrarmstrong » Fri Sep 23, 2011 7:12 pm

I have put together the trigger below to back at Betfair SP with a closing position in play to give me 30% profit. The back bet at SP triggers and the offset bet triggers at the same time but without "keep in play" bet persistence. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong?

="BACK-SP-PL"&M5&"-IP"

Note the percentage is input manually in another cell and automatically pasted in to give this:

BACK-SP-PL30-IP

Thanks,

James

Unfortunately it does not support this trigger. You can only specify SP or IP for both bets, you cannot specify separate persistence settings. ie. you can only have BACK-PL30-SP or BACK-PL30-IP. It's something we could implement though so I will add it to the list of suggestions.

Hi there, sorry to ressurect an old topic but this is what I'm looking to do also... place the back bet at SP, but keep the offset in-play.

Is there a way to do this now without managing the two bets myself rather than letting Gruss take care of it?

Many thanks,
Jon

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
