Nicking the Overround / Underround just became an arms race
Amongst those with the fastest connections, though didn’t it ?.

So i can see why they put a stop to that to be honest and same with the data charges, I can see the reasoning behind it.

It’s the PC thats bonkers though; It kills off most of the winners and takes away the incentive to those that hope to become winners in the future.

After all That’s why we all do it isn’t it :)

I've had dealings with SportsTradingNetwork. It was set up by the same person who set up BetRecruit.

I am not sure what their role really is. Although it seems like a way of meeting people who sports trade and trying to get their intellectual property out of them.

All of the people he introduced me to were clueless. From people wanting to buy-in traders and "invest" in their talents, to habitual losers looking for someone to show them how to do it, to a person who wanted to use "The Cloud to do HFT". The last thing I associate with the cloud is high frequency.

How the person who runs STN or BR earns a living, I don't know

There is another company you might run into called Esanda Recruitment. Just as bad.

There are a lot of charlatans out there, looking to get hold of your intellectual property. If you are a winning trader then why share your knowledge with others?

It just amazes me how people can just do things like these and get away with it.

People are greedy by instinct. :)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
