Overnight f/cast SP changes.

Postby dgs2001 » Mon Mar 30, 2009 10:41 pm

Can anyone tell me how often the Racing Post forecast SP changes overnight??

I was not aware of this except having run my spreadsheet as usual last night, I played with some minor code and re ran it this morning only to find my automated lay selection process threw out different selections than the night before!!

Having checked both sheets it is apparent that the Racing Post forecast favourites and forecast odds had changed in several races overnight. :o

Does anyone know if this is a regular thing :?:

What time did you download the night before?

I usually download about an hour after the last race for the day has finished. I am going to download again now and see if there are any differences!

Not sure why the same post has gone in twice

Well the prices are exactly the same for me. The only difference is that some horses that were down as doubtful are now non runners

Kevin
I downloaded at about 6PM on the 29th march and the following were available:-

Horse F/Cast Odds
Newcastle 14:10 at 6pm
PAY ON 5
PARTICLE 5
FINBIN 5
Then at 09:25 the next morning
FINBIN 6
PAY ON 5
PARTICLE 5

Newcastle 14:40 at 6pm
MORE LIKE IT 7.5
CARRIETAU 6
TOULOUSE EXPRESS 5.5
ROYAL HILARITY 5
MONGORNO 3.5

Then at 9:25 the next morning
TOULOUSE EXPRESS 7
CARRIETAU 5.5
ROYAL HILARITY 5
MONGORNO 3.25

Newcastle 15:10
TEVIOT LASS 17
SNOWS RIDE 17
SEA VENTURE 17
HAZY OAKS 13
HAWKWELL 13
BENMADIGAN 13
RED DYNAMITE 11
GINGERS LAD 10
LETHAM ISLAND 7.5
REMAINDER 6
WHAT HAPPENED 5.5

Then at 9:25 next morning
SNOWS RIDE 556504 17
SEA VENTURE 673049 17
RED DYNAMITE 700024 15
HAZY OAKS 696541 15
HAWKWELL 648536 15
BENMADIGAN 679697 13
TEVIOT LASS 666183 11
GINGERS LAD 720685 11
LETHAM ISLAND 666852 6.5
WHAT HAPPENED 700028 6
REMAINDER 303110 5.5

And infact all the Newcastle races were affected. But I have noticed that the wolverhampton races were not yet up and my spreadsheet reported all the f/cast SP's at 0 for Wolverhampton so it looks like I was too early/ the prices were just being updated.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
