Stop Loss Help

Postby lutpoy28 » Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:35 pm

Hi

Can anyone help with a stop loss question as I cannot get it to work when my bets are triggered via excel betting.

If my trigger is BACK-F10 and i set the gruss application itself with a tick offset of 1 and stop loss of 1 it does not fire the counter bet once matched.

Id rather set my stop loss in my trigger so how do i set a stop loss of 1 tick in a trigger of say BACK-T1-F10

Thanks

Stop loss is not supposed to work with Excel triggers. I am currently working on improving the stop loss feature and will include a trigger to support it. It will be a few weeks before it is available.

Yes, I'm looking forward to this as well, it will make an excellent addition to the Excel functions.

Hi Gary

Any further progress on a stop loss trigger ?

Just thought id ask and see if you have a release date in mind.

Becuse i fire in so many bets im chasing my tail making sure they dont go against me too far.

Thanks

is LAY-TL5-SL5-L-F5 a valid trigger

Example i would want to do is

lay to 5 ticks for level stakes but only hold bet for 5 seconds. Once matched if bet goes against me by 5 ticks then take a level stakes loss.

I take it you mean
lay to 5 ticks for level profit
.

Yes, that trigger is correct.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
