Hi all,
I've just joined the forum, and it's one of the best around!

I've only been trading a few months, and downloaded the 'Betfair Betting Profit & Loss' spreadsheet to my desktop.

As it told me nothing (except that I was losing) I created a spreadsheet that makes better sense of it all.

I don't know if spreadsheets are allowed to be uploaded here, but i know people are already using it. Go here for a screenshot:

Thanks for that. I'd also like to be able to break my betting down to time of day as I have the belief that I do better at certain times of the day compared to others. Probably due to liquidity. If that could be added too it would be great.

you have to register to join the Bet Angel forum and you have to be a paid subscriber to the software before you can be registered to join the forum!

Ridiculous, how cheeky!!! Shows how popular they want the forum to be!

Is there another way one can get a copy of the spreadsheet? If not, it's no big deal (it's not a magic tool that will on its own elevate you from failure to success anyway, so not essential comodity IMO).

got it working fine thanks - but I did have to change path to file.

Very interesting to see the results of markets I have bet in.
Now I shall try to study them and see if there is a pattern of good/bad
markets, races, distances, etc?

horses too. I don't often bet on horses but it would be very handy to have
so that I could look over any results should I decide to try?

Why not stick the file on some free web space plenty of sites around like www.mediafire.com, I'm sure quite a few people would try this but don't like the idea of having to register with sites etc

I have PM'd Nigel and he sent me a copy.

There is no need to register for anything and no strings attached.

Its a good spreadsheet well worth a look, all the code and formulas etc are viewable.

For anyone needing help with making data easy to make sense of it is very helpful.

Thanks to Gary for posting them on the forum.

I should add that as both sheets are, by default, named 'BettingPandL'
when downloaded from Betfair, please re-name the greyhound sheet
'GHBettingPandL' before saving to the desktop.

Also, they won't work on place markets.

Thanks for that. Just done a quick test and whilst the tracks seem well sorted, the race type and distances dont. I've got 1902 markets and in both race type and distance I have one where it says in the cell #VALUE! and it covers 1662 markets.
Any idea what this may be ? Otherwise its all great and valuable, so thanks.
